The creation of a wellbeing economy is a priority for Scotland. This has increased interest in more democratic business models that address inequality and ensure fair working conditions. A business model that has a track record for resilience and fair work, is the worker co-operative.
In this we are joined by John Atherton of the Worker Co-op Federation. John is an advocate for the model and will share his thoughts on the potential and importance of worker co-ops for Scotland’s economy. Stewart Macgregor will also discuss the support available to those setting up or working in co-ops and also what needs to be done to support the sector to grow.
